Demonstrating unlimited possibilities for digital print in packaging, visual communications and retail at two important trade show events
Mimaki will be showcasing innovative solutions for packaging, visual communications and retail enabled by digital printing at two important French events this autumn. At LUXE PACK, scheduled for 1 to 3 October in Monaco, visitors to Mimaki’s Booth #DD02BIS will see how easy and effective it is to take luxury packaging to a new dimension with UV and 3D inkjet printing. At Print in Progress, scheduled for 10 to 11 October in Paris, visitors to Mimaki’s Booth E50 will learn how easy it is to produce personalised promotional items as well as stunning signs, interior décor and more. At both shows, Mimaki experts will be on hand to discuss the business needs and potential solutions with attendees.
“While digital printing is certainly not new, its applications continue to expand and grow across a number of industry segments,” said Ronald van den Broek, General Manager Sales EMEA, of Mimaki. “At each of these shows, we will be highlighting some of the more innovative and unique ways to make packaging, signs and visual communications more compelling. We believe brand owner attendees will leave our booths with many ideas that will help them market their products better, while printers and converters will learn about new products and services they can offer to their brand owner customers.”
One of the key differentiators of digital printing is the ability to produce cost-effective personalised, customised or small lot items. For example, at Print in Progress, Mimaki will be showing its UJF-6042MkII flatbed printer producing personalised promotional items, packaging and other retail products, while the JV150 will be printing signs and other visual communications. Mimaki will also be printing wallpaper and other interior décor items on the UCJV300 series – a compact footprint that delivers printing and cutting inline for a finished product.
At LUXE PACK, the UJF-3042MkII flatbed printer will be printing directly on perfume bottles and other premium packaging, and its optional Kebab unit will be printing directly on the 360° surface of cylindrical items such as wine bottles. Visitors to the Mimaki booth will also be able to see samples of full-colour 3D printing produced by the Mimaki 3DUJ-553, capable of printing up to 10 million different colours. Product Manager Bert Benckhuysen will be joining a panel discussion at the show on 2 October from 10:45 to 12:00: Additive Manufacturing in the Service of the Luxury Brands – New Solutions and Experiences. This is sure to be a lively discussion that will present many novel ways in which 3D printing can be used for packaging, promotional items and more.
“We’re very excited about participating in these two important shows,” van den Broek added. “The energy level at these shows is high, and visitors come ready to learn and looking for new things. They will certainly not be disappointed when they stop by the Mimaki booth!”
